new blog day🌱 When you face a new situation, w new blog day🌱

When you face a new situation, whether good or bad, a job offer, an argument with a friend, a decision to make, exciting news, what do you do first? Who is the first person you tell?🌿

You've probably heard something along the lines of how we should turn to prayer before we do... *Whatever else it is that you would normally do*. But how easy do you find this to actually do?🌼

In today's blog post I am sharing all my tips and tricks and practical ideas for how we can make prayer our go-to response🙏

When do you listen to audiobooks?🌿 I've recent When do you listen to audiobooks?🌿

I've recently started listening to audiobooks while I'm out running & I really love it! I never used to even like listening to music while running but listening to a good story is such a good distraction from the more painful bits of the run (and also helps to motivate me to get out the door!)🌱

And if you're looking for a great audiobook recommendation, definitely check out The Athena Club Series: The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter, European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman, and The Sinister Mystery of the Mesmerising Girl. All ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reads📚

What's your favourite audiobook?🎧
Dear God, we bring before you all those who are gr Dear God, we bring before you all those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, including the Royal Family and all those who are mourning the recent death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip. Be with each of these people, bring them comfort and peace, provide for them the support they need: whether emotional or physical, and remind them of the wonderful hope that they can have in you. Amen.

✨25 books I want to read before 25✨ This week ✨25 books I want to read before 25✨

This week's video is a fun book-ish challenge that I'm setting myself: 25 books (or series) that I want to read before I turn 25 in 21 months time📚

We have loooots of Christian books that sound amazing, plus Non-Fiction, Historical Fiction from around the world & Contemporary Fiction (and even a book about penguins!)🐧

Head to the link in my bio to find our YouTube channel & watch the whole video to find my full list of 25 books I'm super excited for!🌼

What books are you really excited to read at the moment?🌿
A Prayer following the death of HRH Prince Philip A Prayer following the death of HRH Prince Philip 🙏

Dear God, thank you for Prince Philip, and for his dedication to this country, from his service in the Royal Navy during WWII, to his loving support of Queen Elizabeth for over 70 years. Be with the Queen and all of the Royal Family as they mourn the loss of their husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bring them comfort as they grieve & time to do so in peace. Amen.

Do you read Christian fiction? What's your favourite?📚

I was always slightly weary about reading Christian fiction. I'd heard about Christian romance books that did a very bad job portraying real relationships, and was kind of just expecting the rest of the Christian fiction world to be very in your face, trying to make a point & lacking in anything else🌿

But I have been pleasantly surprised by my first dip into the genre. When Twilight Breaks is packed full of history, adventure, tension & high stakes, but the characters' faith is still such an important part of their lives, impacting the way they think, the decisions they make, their thought processes. Their faith is realistic and meaningful & opens up so many interesting discussions🐤
I love Easter weekend - church services, egg hunts I love Easter weekend - church services, egg hunts & all🐣 but the real joy of Easter is the impact that it has all year round✨

As Christians, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and the difference it makes in our lives every day of the year, even now so many years later - and we will do until Jesus returns🌼

Because the events of Easter story shape our faith, they change the way we live our lives, they change the way we view the world🌿

There are so many lessons we can learn from the Easter story, head to the link in my bio to read the new blog post🐰

Dear God, thank you for Easter! Thank you that you Dear God, thank you for Easter! Thank you that you sent your son Jesus to die upon the cross for us. Thank you that he defeated sin once and for all. Thank you that because of him, we can know you, we can live in his victory and that we can never be separated from your love. Amen.

Holy Saturday is a day that is often forgotten bet Holy Saturday is a day that is often forgotten between the grief of Good Friday and the joy of Easter Sunday, but it's such an interesting day to explore🌿

It's that balance between mourning and hopefulness, between it's coming but not yet, between what's gone before and what's yet to come🌼

It's the same kind of balance that we find ourselves in now - knowing that God has won, that he won the victory back at that first Easter, knowing that he will be coming back; but also knowing that we are still waiting🌱

One day, but not yet✨

Don't forget, our Holy Saturday Prayer Reflection is now up on our YouTube channel (link in bio) so do take some time to pause & pray today🙏
Happy Good Friday!✨ It's such a joy that we are Happy Good Friday!✨

It's such a joy that we are able to call it GOOD Friday, because we know what comes next. We know what happens on Sunday. And we know what this weekend means for eternity🌱

I'm sure the disciples on that first Good Friday would never have believed that the day their friend was crucified would come to be known as a good day. A day full of praise🌼

For them it was a day of loss. A day of mourning. A day of darkness. Because (even though Jesus had mentioned that he would be killed a couple of times) they didn't know the whole story like we do know🐣
